Health, Safety & Environment – Technics d’Agencement

Technics d’Agencement is featured in the latest issue of the INRS magazine Travail & Sécurité. The article highlights the initiatives implemented since the relocation to our Poisy workshops to sustainably improve health and safety in the workplace.

It showcases the technical improvements, workstation organization, efforts to reduce dust exposure, and the continuous development of our teams’ skills.

As part of our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policy, we met with Janis, a Continuous Improvement apprentice at Technics d’Agencement, who is leading several key initiatives to enhance health and safety in the workplace. His testimony highlights the actions implemented on the ground and the positive changes observed across our teams.

Strengthening safety for visitors and employees

A wide range of measures has been introduced to improve safety in our workshops and during site visits, including a visitor registration system, high-visibility vests, changing facilities, and protective overshoes. Regular safety briefings provide opportunities to discuss workplace risks and share best practices.

The monitoring of personal protective equipment (PPE), floor markings to clearly define work areas, and enhanced protection in the metalworking and welding workshops—including UV-protective masks and welding screens—help ensure a safer environment for both employees and visitors.

A real shift in safety culture

According to Janis, the transformation has been significant:

“Our employees are becoming more aware of safety. They are taking an active role by asking questions, sharing ideas, and contributing to continuous improvement.”

While some long-standing habits take time to change, listening, guidance, and support remain essential. Having a dedicated point of contact for health and safety issues helps build trust, encourages open dialogue, and fosters greater engagement across the teams.
